A Taste of French.... from the 'Paris End of Collins Street'

Flâner dans les rues de Melbourne ! There is  no perfect translation of the French word flâner in English, but it suggests the idea of leisurely strolling in the city simply to enjoy its beauty. A wonderful concept, n'est-ce pas?

Join us for this 1.5 hour French WALKshop where we will flâner and faire du lèche-vitrine ( do some window shopping) from the 'Paris End of Collins street' through to the iconic Royal Arcade. As we wander through these beautiful parts of Melbourne's CBD, you will be encouraged to use your French as we talk about Melbourne's café culture, shopping and our immediate urban surroundings.

This 'walking walk shop' is intended to be fun and active language learning experience in a real-life context, where the elements of the city's environment serve as prompts to talk about and describe different things in French that you might  not usually cover in your regular learning space. You will be provided with some printed materials on useful  vocabulary and phrases for the session and the WALKshop hosts will be there to support you along the way.

This small group session is open to French learners of all levels.

The Walkshop will be led by Nicole from French with Nicole, an experienced French teacher and lover of all things French, supported by Rebecca from Irregular Endings.
